Hello! Thank you for writing for me and for sharing one of these fandoms!

I'm DeCarabas on AO3 and carabas on tumblr. Everything I’ve got to say in this letter is absolutely optional - I hope this is enough to give you a starting point if you need one, but if you’ve got your own idea already, fantastic, do that, anything with these characters will make me happy, so please don't feel you need to cram everything I mention into your fic. What I really want is to see someone else's spin on my favorite characters.

I'm easy to please. I like gen and shippy fic equally, and I would go for any pairing between any of my requested characters. I like fluffy and lighthearted fics, bittersweet fic, dark and twisted fics, and everything in between. I like everything from G-rated gen to explicit PWP, plot-filled adventures or trope-filled pining or worldbuilding or introspective character studies, longfic or shortfic - and I'd like any of the above for any of these fandoms. Whatever style of fic you like to write, I like to read it.

Some things I particularly like: Shapeshifting, possession, magical mishaps - pretty much anything playing with the quirks of these magical settings. Dreams. Altered states. Telepathic connections. Crossovers with history or mythology or fairy tales. Folklore references. Road trips. Immortality. Reincarnation. Secret identities. Loyalty, and oaths of loyalty. Competency. Possessiveness. Sharing a bed. Huddling for warmth. Voyeurism and exhibitionism. Mirrors. Voice kink. Blood kink. Knife play. Bite marks. Xeno. Blindfolding as an expression of trust. Nonpenetrative sex. Creative applications of magic in bed.

Some things I'd rather not get: Non-con. (But dub-con is fine.)

If you're completely stuck on whatever fandom we matched on and want to try picking up another, Painted Skin is a series of two fantasy movies revolving around a heart-eating, bodyswapping fox demon; Animamundi is a BL visual novel about demons and the occult; and the Darkangel Trilogy is a YA fantasy featuring winged vampires and prophetic riddles and life on the moon.

Darkangel Trilogy - Meredith Ann Pierce

Characters: Aeriel, Irrylath

I would love to see anything involving these two and the fantastical imagery of their world. Please let them find a happy epilogue.

I started reading this story years and years ago, and what stuck with me was the fantastical imagery, the birds that are ships that are staffs, the earth hanging overhead, dark wings and gargoyles and gathering friends and allies and trying to follow the steps of a riddle whose meaning only becomes clear in retrospect - this whole charming fairy tale of a story. This year I finally checked out how the story ends, and I would really, really love a fix-it.

After all those adventures, she's wound up a slave again, just one in a crown - help her find a way out? Aeriel's ended up in the exact same position Irrylath was at the start, transformed into a powerful immortal creature and bound to carry out the will of a powerful witch, completely resigned to her fate - so finish the role reversal, let him find a way to save her like she saved him!

Or else show me more of their time in the castle together at the beginning, or more of the fantastical fairy tale imagery around them, more magical transformations and riddles and the earth hanging in the sky.

Painted Skin (Movies)

Characters: Peirong, Princess Jing, Xiaowei

I'd love a story playing with Jing's resemblance to Peirong - a reincarnation AU, or simply Xiaowei being reminded of Peirong when she sees Jing? Or a story set in one of the moments when two of them have traded roles in some fashion, when Peirong is seen as a demon or when Jing and Xiaowei have swapped skins.

You don't have to use all three of my requested characters for this fandom - feel free to pick any two of them, if that works better for your story. I ship everyone with everyone here. Jing/Xiaowei, Peirong/Xiaowei, I don't know how you could make Peirong/Jing or an OT3 work but if you can then I would be thrilled, I like all the canon ships too, and I'd be equally thrilled with gen.

What I love most is the way these stories play with identity, the way the characters get stuck in each other's roles - the most striking image in the movies for me is when Peirong is run out of her home as a 'demon' while Xiaowei watches. So I would love any story that plays with trading roles. How does Jing feel when she's watching 'herself'? Maybe an AU where Xiowei and Jing stay in each other's skins for a little longer?

And the resemblance of the characters in the sequel to the characters in the first movie! I'd love to see some moment where Jing reminds Xiaowei of Peirong. Or a reincarnation AU where Jing finds Xiaowei familiar - or maybe they meet for a third time, or maybe the first movie wasn't the first time they met? Or Jing as Peirong's descendant, or anything else playing with their resemblance. Or anything else that strikes your interest - I'd love to see any fic about these movies.

Animamundi Dark Alchemist

Characters: Germant Cassel, Lucifer

I'd love to see any kind of encounter between St. Germant and Georik's demonic alter ego. Maybe something with Lucifer showing some twisted affection for St. Germant due to Georik's influence? Or something with St. Germant looking for traces of Georik in Lucifer?

I love the atmosphere of this game, the setting, the elegant mansions and gardens, hidden tunnels and dusty forgotten laboratories, tarot and alchemy and all the namedropping of occult figures and texts.

I'd love to see something after the ending where St. Germant becomes an immortal alchemist, with Lucifer reminding him of Georik long after all the mortal characters have passed away. Or maybe it's just good to know someone else around who's been alive for centuries, even if that someone is the devil. Maybe they run into each other by chance - maybe in a church? - or maybe someone asks the alchemist to help them with a demon problem, or maybe he deliberately summons Lucifer up - maybe they form a contract?

Or something set during one of the times Lucifer takes over Georik's body - the ending where Lucifer winds up married to Sylvie and ruling the country could be particularly fun. Maybe something where St. Germant thinks Georik can be saved?

Or any other way you see these characters interacting. I'd prefer no non-con, please, but aside from that, feel free to go as dark or as explicit as you like; dub-con is fine. I also like all the other characters and ship everyone with everyone, so feel free to include whoever else you'd like. Or I'd also love a more gen focus on the tarot or alchemy or demonology or anything similar from this setting; or this game also lends itself really easily to crossovers with history or mythology - I'd love to see damned soul!St. Germant travel through other versions of the underworld.
