I love a bodyswap story, was delighted to see this one in the tagset, and I'd love to see you dig into it in any way you like! Gen is welcome, or feel free to pair Edward with anyone or any eldritch thing in the mythos - Ephraim-Asenath, Daniel Upton, Richard Upton Pickman, Shub-Niggurath, Dagon, whoever you like, I'll ship it.

Tell me about his first encounter with Ephraim! Edward was sure he'd recognized Ephraim's expressions on Asenath's face - "He glared at me once, and I never forgot it" - what exactly did Ephraim do for his expressions to become so memorable to Edward? Was Ephraim already looking at him as a new potential body then? Or show me scenes from Edward's life with Asenath, or as Asenath! And how exactly was Asenath's body not quite human? Or I'd love to see any other times he might have tried to reach out to Dan, whether in his own body or in Asenath's, or any alternate ways their story could have ended. Or maybe some of Edward's own occult pursuits? He's got such a lifelong interest in the occult right up until it becomes a nightmare for him, and I'd love to see more of that interest or terror or both at the same time. Or some way for him to meet the original Asenath, or to get to know her through things left behind - are there still traces of her memories attached to that body? Or maybe something about Pickman family connections - I'd love to see an encounter between Richard Upton Pickman's graverobbing ghouls and the soul trapped in a corpse. Or anything else that inspires you about this character!

Characters: Alex|Christopher and Gilbert

If you want a starting point, some things I love about these characters: I love everything about Alex's dreamlike wandering through the centuries, and I'm absolutely fascinated by Gilbert's convoluted revenge scheme/roleplaying game! He devotes himself so intensely to hunting down Alex, spends decades of his life and sells off his estate for this, and when he finally catches him, he... chooses to play Alex's devoted servant? Calls Alex by his own name? While thinking of this as a form of revenge? Absolutely wild. And then even after that game is up, amnesiac Alex innocently keeps introducing himself to people by Gilbert's last name! Gilbert as the one point of stability and familiarity in Alex's life!

I love both the intensity and the domesticity of whatever these two have going on, and I'd simply love to see more of any stage of their lives together - scenes from the young baron's first life-changing encounter? The vampire hunter tracking Alex down over and over again, only to be forgotten each time? Another episode of Gilbert and Alex traveling somewhere new together? Or blood-drinking is always welcome. Or maybe a crossover with Pet Shop of Horrors? Or anything else that inspires you about these characters!

Characters: Shen Zhiheng and Li Yingliang

Gen or slash between my requested characters are both welcome. If you want a starting point, some things I love about these characters: obsession! Taunting and face-slapping and manhandling and heart-to-heart talks in between their attempts at killing each other, and usually with a smile! I love the intensity of Li Yingliang's one-sided fixation on Shen Zhiheng, and I love all the different angles of it, all the different things Shen Zhiheng is to him - the dignified man who acts so far above him, the nightmare keeping him up at night, the savior who failed to save him, the prisoner that Li Yingliang can't decide if he wants to humiliate or unchain. And I love the way Shen Zhiheng seems to have fun acting the big bad intimidating monster with Li Yingliang in a way he doesn't with anyone else, going around openly admitting things like "I don't eat food, I eat people" just to mess with him, the self-described cat playing with the mouse - but also spending his whole time in captivity treating Li Yingliang like the only person worth having a conversation with, completely ignoring the whole Three Families, Three Stones plotline going on right in front of him because he's too busy making intense eye contact with Li Yingliang. Every interaction they had was absolutely wild, and I want more.

If you want a more specific prompt - what might have happened if Li Yingliang decided to escape the train with Shen Zhiheng and the others after all? Or I'd love something with time travel or time loops or amnesia - by the end of the show they've both got regrets, even if some of those regrets are along the lines of "I should have killed you back then" - mistakes were made, and I'd love to see them get a chance to do some things over again. Or food porn - Li Yingliang having him gunned down in the street is kind of the reason Shen Zhiheng can't enjoy regular food anymore, does he have any feelings around that? Or I'd love to see Li Yingliang get off on taunting Shen Zhiheng some more, or on getting manhandled by him some more. Blood kink? Gun kink? Simply getting a hug? Or anything else that inspires you about these characters!



Vampyr (Video Game)
Characters: Jonathan Reid and Edgar Swansea

Where to find the canon:There are a wide variety of Let's Plays on YouTube with all the different possible choices you can make in this game, but this one includes Edgar's turning and my favorite bittersweet ending.

Gen or slash between my requested characters are both welcome. If you want a starting point, some things I love about these characters: I love Edgar's delight in all things vampire and in the accomplished Dr. Reid specifically, and I loved their first meetings - here's Jonathan, lost and confused and abandoned by his maker and wandering about covered in bloodstains and easily warded off by Edgar just holding up a cross, and Edgar's response to all this is to pretty much swoop in to Jonathan's rescue, offer him refuge, and generally be delighted by him! And I love their odd power dynamic - Edgar in charge at Jonathan's hospital and with more knowledge of the world of vampires, and Jonathan as the actual vampire here; Jonathan as Edgar's eventual maker, and Edgar's complete refusal to treat being turned as the punishment Jonathan intended. I love Edgar as that rare human being Jonathan could be fully honest with at a time when even his own family believed he was dead, a person who's part of both Jonathan's former world as a doctor and his new one as a vampire; and I love Edgar's slightly sideways approach to morality at a time when Jonathan's struggling to square his own morality with his new appetites. And on that morality scale, I'm particularly fond of the brooding-alone ending where Jonathan's eaten some people but still has some qualms about it, but all versions of Jonathan on the pacifist-to-evil spectrum are great, please run with whichever you like.

I'd love to see something early in the game playing on the fact that Edgar is one of the very few mortals in on Jonathan's secrets - maybe something where Jonathan's gotten into some trouble, whether with vampires or hunters or suspicious coworkers or inconvenient homicide detectives or simply getting caught out in the wrong spot after dawn?

Or anything where Edgar gets to indulge in his vampire-watching fetish, whether that's witnessing one of Jonathan's kills (human or rat, whichever), or Jonathan struggling to adjust to his growing powers, or simply Edgar finding Jonathan's looming intimidating monologue routine inappropriately hot? And if Jonathan did eat any of the civilians, who was it, and what drove him to that point, especially if it's one of the NPCs who aren't serial killers or similarly easy for him to rationalize?

Or I'd love something about vampire!Edgar hearing the voice of Jonathan as his maker in his mind. Or anything involving Jonathan/Edgar bloodsucking, whether that's before or after Edgar's turned - especially if Jonathan's not capable of stopping himself mid-feeding and needs someone else to stop him. Or how would any particular scene in the game have played out differently if Edgar had been a romance option? Or anything else that inspires you about these characters!
